Join the Rice County Historical Society at the Faribault American Legion on June 10, 2016 for great food, a silent auction of merchandise and services from Rice County businesses, a raffle, and entertainment by the Over and Back Band!

The Over and Back Band was formed in 1991 when the Over and Back variety benefit show, a Prairie Home Companion type show that performed 3-4 times a year in the Rice County area, needed a house band. The Over and Back show lasted for almost 15 years, and the Over and Back Band has been going strong for almost 25 years! Craig Wasner, Steve Jennings, Mike Hildebrandt, and Gordon Oschwald have managed to blend their musical interests to create the unique musical style of the Over and Back Band. Their sound has been described as “electrified gypsy bluegrass meets funky New Orleans rock and roll.” The band will be joined by guitarist and pedal steel player Ken Wilson for this event.

All proceeds will support the Rice County Historical Society’s ongoing programs and activities and help continue to preserve the rich history of Rice County and to share our history with the community.  This evening promises to be one you will not want to miss and won’t forget.

Dinner/event tickets are $25.00 each.  We also have a limited number of $100 raffle tickets which include: two dinner/event tickets (a $50.00 value), a 1 in 5 chance of winning your $100 back, and a 1 in 100 chance of winning the grand prize of $1,500.  Tickets may be purchased at the museum or from any RCHS Board Member.
