Christmas at the Alexander Faribault House
What would the Alexander Faribault House have looked like during the Christmas season in the 1850s?
The Faribaults were French-Canadian, and the family would have had a small tree decorated with ribbons and candles, along with a candied apple centerpiece in the dining room, and a traditional apple wreath on the front porch.
The Rice County Historical Society would love to have you come see this piece of Faribault history come to life at the Faribault House Christmas Open House!
This event is free and open to the public. The Christmas Open House will be held on Friday, Dec. 4th from 4 pm – 7 pm, and on Saturday, Dec. 5th from 10 am – 3 pm. Try French “Christ Cakes” and learn more about the life and times of the Faribault family!
