Saturday, August 12, 12-1pm at the Rice County Historical Society

This event is free and open to all families. If you are interested in bringing your family down we encourage you to call and reserve at 507-332-2121 or by emailing us at rchs@rchistory.org.
Some of the first settlers in Rice County were Fur Traders, but how did they make a living? Well come on down and try your hand at being a fur trader. Kids will have a chance to “trap” and trade for better equipment and prizes. We will be talking about the effects of trapping on the area and how the barter system worked.
