RCHS presents their first ever History Walk!

Participants will be able to discover the hidden history all around them on either a 1.5 mile or 3 mile self-paced walking route that features many historic Faribault sites. The route is self-guided and self-paced, and there will be information stations and volunteers along the route to help you learn more about Faribault’s history!
Walking Path
WHEN: The walk will be from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with registration from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Walkers may begin as soon as they complete their registration.
WHERE: Registration will be held near the log cabin on the RCHS grounds. 1814 NW 2nd Ave., Faribault, MN.
COST: The cost is $10.00/person, $5.00/students, and FREE for those 12 and under.
All interested participants over 21 years of age will be entered in a drawing for a FREE pint at the F-Town Brewing Company. (10 winners will be drawn. Must be present to win.)
Victorian Clothing Exhibit and Program
Temporary Exhibit: July 29 – August 24, 2016
Arleen Roberts will have her collection of Victorian dresses, coats, uniforms, and accessories on display from July 29 to August 24, 2016.
The exhibit is included in the normal museum admission price, and is free for members. RCHS hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The Museum will also be open Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM through labor day weekend.
“Antique Clothing” with Arleen Roberts

Arleen Roberts will speak about her collection of antique clothing, uniforms, and accessories. Her talk will include information about the collection of Victorian clothing, what influenced style throughout the years, and how the clothing and accessories were made.
The program will be $2.00 for non-members and FREE for members.
Preregistration is encouraged, but not required.
Both Victorian Clothing events will be held in the Carlander Family Room at the RCHS Museum of History. 1814 NW 2nd Ave., Faribault, MN 55021.
