Holiday Letter Writing with Jeff Sauve
Tuesday November 7, 14, and 21 at 10:30am at the Rice County History Museum
Join as RCHs in welcoming Jeff Sauve as he guides participants through three 90-minute writing sessions that will rekindle joyful recollections and inspire attendees to put pen to paper. Participants will create stories based on their childhood memories of holidays and the holiday season.
Session 1 Topic: Food
Session 2 Topic: Photographs, participants should bring their favorite holiday photograph
Session 3 Topic: Artifacts/Ornaments, participants should bring their favorite holiday ornament or artifact
Jeff Sauve has been featured in the Minneapolis StarTribune, Minnesota Historical Society’s MNopedia, MinnPost, MPR Radio, and TPT television. An award-winning author and historian, Sauve has written eight books and scores of articles for local and regional publications. After serving 20 years as an archivist at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn., he pursued a successful writing career. In 2023, his book, Murder at Minnesota Point, was awarded a bronze IPPY (Independent Publisher Book Award) medallion for Midwest non-fiction.
This program is open to all writing levels. The programs will run on the second Tuesdays of November, the 7th, 14th, and 21st from 10:30am to 12pm.
