A Night at the Museum!
At the Rice County Historical Society
Saturday, October 8, 2016
4:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Come see history brought to life at the Rice County Historical Society! Meet people from Rice County’s past related to the exhibits in the museum and the historic outbuildings behind it.
Experience a lesson from a one-room school teacher, meet an alter guild member at the former Cannon City Episcopal Church, greet a frontier housewife in the log cabin, and go on a flashlight tour of the Heritage and Harvest Halls where artifacts from early Rice County businesses and farming are kept.
Flashlight tours will be offered from 4:15 to 6:30 PM. There will be food and music around a fire ring, tractor-driven hay rides, and a passport clue-hunt for children (with prizes)!
The event is $2.00 for adults, and $1.00 for children under 12. Hotdogs, cider, and cookies will be sold for a minimal extra cost.
The event will take place at the Rice County Historical Society at 1814 NW Second Ave., Faribault, MN 55021.
