7th Annual “Night At The Museum”

Saturday, September 28, 2019: 4-7pm

See what’s cooking in the Cabin

Come and see history brought to life at the 7th annual “A Night at the Museum” on Saturday, September 28, 2019, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. You can meet costumed characters from Rice County’s past! These characters will come to life in the Rice County Historical Society’s log cabin, schoolhouse, Harvest & Heritage Halls.

Have a Red Cross nurse look at that arm and fix you right up!

Meet Alexander Faribault, town founder and early Fur Trader. Hear about life as a Rice County Sheriff from our past. Help the alter guild volunteer get the country church ready for services on Sunday. Experience a lesson in the one-room-school. Use a crank phone, learn how the steam engine works, and even find out what’s for dinner in the log cabin.   Great fun for the entire family!

Listen to musicians around the fire

The event will also feature a crackling fire pit for roasting hot dogs, music, stories and more! Then from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. finish the night with more music and stories around the campfire.

Admission is: $3 for adults, $1 for those 12 and under, FREE if you come in costume! Tickets available at the door. Parking for this event is free.

The Rice County Historical Society is at at 1814 NW 2nd Ave., Faribault, MN.  For questions or to volunteer, call the RCHS Museum at 332-2121 or email us at rchs@rchistory.org
