Tours
Guided tours are available to all age groups. Guides can adjust the tour to fit areas of special interest to visitors if that is desired. The main museum is handicap accessible. Self-guided tours are always available and do not require advance notice. For school tours, please see youth programs.
Displays include selected items from Bishop Whipple's collection of Native American artifacts; a fur trade display, material on Red Jackson, a famous Faribault pilot; Main Street Dioramas; and many other items of interest. Displays are not static so come back and see us more than once.
The village buildings are not heated. These include the Volg Log cabin, Pleasant Valley School - a one room school house, Holy Innocents Episcopal Church, and the Harvest and Heritage Halls, which house a variety of machinery and appliances. If you wish to tour the village, please let us know at the time your tour is set up.
